Five chapters
The first vine
Miroslav Škoro buys the Mikinac family vineyard in Mitrovac. Behind it is a single idea: to invest in the place that made him who he is.
Gold at the first attempt
The very first vintage, the 2015 Graševina, wins a gold medal and the title of vintage champion for dry wines at the Graševina Festival. The wine world is surprised, Slavonia is proud.
Two families
The Matić family from Mitrovac tends the vineyards and makes the wine. The Škoro family gives it a name, a story and a song.
A song on the bottle
The labels carry handwritten lyrics and a signature. Five wines, five songs: every wine has its own.
Six wines, twenty awards
From the first vintage to today: gold medals and diplomas at the Croatian Graševina Festival, Vino-Kap and MoslaVina, a gold diploma for the Rosé at the Kvarner International Wine Trophy, and silver and bronze at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London.
Winemaking
Drago Matić,
the winemaker.
The Matić family from Mitrovac farms three hectares of their own vineyards and two hectares of the Škoro vineyards, and the grapes are vinified in the family cellar. Drago Matić brings twenty years of experience from the cellars of Kutjevo.
The vineyards are farmed the traditional way: manure for fertiliser, vines tied with willow, no herbicides. The grapes are picked by hand and carefully sorted, and the wine ferments in stainless steel at a controlled temperature.
